Congratulations to Prof. Henderik Alex (Erik) Proper, Professor at the Business Informatics Group, who has been elected ER Fellow 2026—one of the highest distinctions awarded by the conceptual modeling community.

The ER Fellowship recognizes individuals for outstanding and sustained contributions to research, education, and community service in the field of conceptual modeling. Erik was selected in recognition of his scientific achievements, his mentorship of emerging researchers, and his service to the field through conference leadership and committee participation. He currently serves as Vice Chair of IFIP Working Group 8.1 and Chair of the Enterprise Engineering Foundation.

Erik's formal induction will take place at the ER Conference 2026, where he will receive a commemorative plaque.
